Indian MedTech Innovation: Euler

Euler Ultrasonic Scalpel System, built by Doultani Group is India's first indigenously manufactured ultrasonic surgical platform. It cuts and coagulates tissue in the same motion using 55.5 kHz ultrasonic vibration instead of electrical current, cutting out the thermal spread, smoke and nerve stimulation that come with standard electrosurgery. Lateral thermal spread sits at 1 to 2 mm, well below the 2 to 6 mm seen with mono-polar devices which matters most in thyroid, bariatric and pediatric procedures where a stray milli-meter counts.

It's CDSCO MD9-licensed and already trusted by AIIMS, the Armed Forces Medical Services and ESIC. At ₹12,000 to ₹35,000 per case, it's priced below imported harmonic devices making it one of the first credible India-made alternatives in a category that's been import-dependent for years.

1/ Manipal Hospitals IPO

When Nephrocare India's ₹41Cr IPO was subscribed 715x, YATHARTH's ₹686 Cr IPO at 37x, even Medanta's ₹2,206 Cr IPO at 9.58x, I expected India's largest hospital, MANIPAL's IPO to receive an overwhelming response.

Instead...
Manipal Hospitals (MHEL)'s ₹9,275 Cr IPO closed at only ~4.9x subscription.

So naturally, 1 question came to my mind.

What did investors like...
What made them cautious?

You can read deeper perspective and analysis of the Manipal Hospital on the LinkedIn Post.
